Authorizing NOOK® via Adobe® Digital Editions
Go to your Adobe account sign-in page, enter your email address and select Continue. Select Reset your password. Enter the code sent to your email address or phone number. If you have provided both an email address and a phone number, you can opt to receive your code in an email instead. To use the current website, please update your browser to the latest version or try a different browser. Forgot password? Try resetting your password. If you get the error, “The provided email address could not be matched to an account on file,” try a different email address. To learn how to reset a forgotten password or change your existing password, see Reset or change your Adobe password. Forgot Adobe ID? First of all, go to the Creative Cloud apps catalog. Log in, enter your Adobe ID and password. Find Adobe Animate and download the program to your computer. If you are interested in installing previous releases or looking for Adobe Animate download updates, check Download creative cloud apps catalog. To be valid, your Audience Manager password must meet the following requirements: Passwords may be between 12 to 40 characters long. Begin and end with an alphanumeric character. Contain at least 1 uppercase and lowercase character. Contain at least 1 number. Contain at least 1 special character (colons ':' excluded).
After installing Adobe Digital Editions (ADE), the Setup Assistant wizard prompts you to activate ADE (you must be online during this process). During activation, you have the option to authorize your computer with an Adobe ID.
The Adobe ID enables you to transfer items protected by digital rights management (DRM) between multiple computers or NOOKs and restore them after a data loss or system reinstallation.
If you don't have an Adobe ID, creating one is free and only takes a minute. Go to www.accounts.adobe.com and click on Get An Adobe ID.
Adobe Id And Password
Once Adobe Digital Editions has been activated, you will then need to authorize NOOK with your Adobe ID:
1. Connect your NOOK via USB Cable to a compatible USB port on your computer (Make sure to use the USB Cable that is specific to your device).
· For PC Users:

o Open Adobe Digital Editions.
o Once ADE has loaded, insert the USB cable from your device to your computer.
o Your PC should then detect your device.
· For MAC Users:
o Close Adobe Digital Editions.
o Once ADE has been closed, insert the USB cable from your device to your MAC.
o Your MAC should then detect your device (a drive icon labeled NOOK should appear on your desktop).
o After your device has been detected by your MAC, open Adobe Digital Editions.
2. Once detected, Adobe Digital Editions will prompt you to 'Authorize' your device to the program. Click Authorize then Finish.
3. After authorization, the device appears as an icon in your library. You can transfer items to and from the device's just by dragging and dropping.
