Authorizing NOOK® via Adobe® Digital Editions

Go to your Adobe account sign-in page, enter your email address and select Continue. Select Reset your password. Enter the code sent to your email address or phone number. If you have provided both an email address and a phone number, you can opt to receive your code in an email instead. Log in, enter your Adobe ID and password. Find Adobe Animate and download the program to your computer. To be valid, your Audience Manager password must meet the following requirements: Passwords may be between 12 to 40 characters long. Begin and end with an alphanumeric character. Once Adobe Digital Editions has been activated, you will then need to authorize NOOK with your Adobe ID:

1. Connect your NOOK via USB Cable to a compatible USB port on your computer (Make sure to use the USB Cable that is specific to your device).

o Close Adobe Digital Editions.

o Your MAC should then detect your device (a drive icon labeled NOOK should appear on your desktop).

o After your device has been detected by your MAC, open Adobe Digital Editions.

2. Once detected, Adobe Digital Editions will prompt you to 'Authorize' your device to the program. Click Authorize then Finish.

3. After authorization, the device appears as an icon in your library. You can transfer items to and from the device's just by dragging and dropping.
