If you have the original CDs, then they should include an installer, that puts the files in the right places.
It's my only Jam Pack, and I'm a light user of Garageband. Apparently the best way to get this now, as well as all the other Jam Packs, is to buy Logic Pro 9. The complete package is the same price as two Jam Packs used to be.
Without the installer file it gets a little bit more tricky.
Because thes are factory sounds, the installer stores them in the system directory. You can just drag them to the appropriate place manually, but that cause cause permission issues.
The Apple Loop are stored in the system Library directory /Library/Audio/Apple Loops/Apple/
The Instrument files are more complicated because they are stroed in the /Library/Applications Support/Logic/ or /Library/Applications Support/GarageBand/
In addition the Instrument files and samples (audio files are stored in different sub folders.
If you are not familiar with the file structure of GarageBand and Logic (both share many files and directories) then I wouldn't do it manually and rely on the installer file.
Hope that helps
